Another eventful year in philanthropic outreach has passed. 2017 was the year Village at Piney Point Apartments added ESL classes to their extensive list of classes offered in their information center, allowing students to become more fluent in English by breaking down concepts and language rules. All Dallas properties are now offering a free after school meal program and homework help for children. In August, KPM properties added the option of online rent payments, so that rent can be paid in the convenience of your own home and for fraud prevention. Forget checks and confusing payment systems; with our user-friendly online portal, residents can automate and track their payments, all in one safe, secure place. KPM’s properties are now pleased to provide residents with 24 hour Emergency Service Lines. Hopefully, residents will never need this service, but if they do, we have developed a response procedure for emergencies and other situations that arise during non-business hours. This past year, the social media platform Active Building connected property managers with residents, building relationships, retention and reputation. With Active Building’s Community Activity System, residents created profiles, swapped news and messages in an online apartment community.
Hurricane Harvey rehabilitation renovations for Fountains at the Bayou Apartments and Providence at Heights Apartments are currently underway. Estimated to be complete by March 2018, new sheet rock, insulation, lower cabinets and appliances will be installed throughout the complexes. Aiding to the disaster relief effort, KPM properties opened their doors to provide shelter, held a donation drive to collect food and clothing for flood victims, and contributed over $15,000 to local non-profits. We are now collecting donations of jackets, suits, pants, shirts, and blouses for men, women, and children of all ages for the Winter Clothing Drive. If you have new or gently-used clothing that you would like to donate, please drop them off the corporate office.
